LARRY M. WEEKS
REXBURG, ID -- Larry Merrill Weeks, 75, of Rexburg, passed away March 18, 2010, after suffering a massive heart attack while serving in the Rexburg, Idaho LDS Temple.
Larry was born September 11, 1934, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Abram Weeks and Edna Pricilla Staten Weeks. He attended grade school in Irwin, Idaho; Jr. High and High School in Fontana, California; and graduated from Ririe High School in Ririe, Idaho. He obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Forestry from Utah State University. He worked for the U.S. Forest Service as a District Ranger and in the Regional Office.
He married Geraldine Ann Brown on July 2, 1953, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She preceded him in death.
He married Nancy Dickey McRae on July 30, 1983, in Gooding, Idaho. Larry and Nancy made their home in Gooding, where he worked as a Farmer and Rancher. They owned and operated Weeks Well and Pump Service. They moved to Rexburg in 2005.
Larry was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He held many callings, including Temple Worker at the Rexburg LDS Temple. He served a mission in London, England, from 1997 to 1999. He enjoyed hunting; farming; playing his guitar, singing and yodeling for Senior Citizen Centers and Nursing Homes.

Stepdaughter: Amy J. Barton, Santa Cruz, CA
Sister: Ruby Weeks Brown, Idaho Falls, ID
Sister: Dorothy Weeks Jarvis, Mesa, Arizona
37 Grandchildren & 11 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and five sisters.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 22, 2010, at the Rexburg LDS Cresthaven Ward , 1070 South 2nd East, with Bishop Nathan Williams officiating. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park in Idaho Falls.
