Larry Waters

Larry Gene Waters, 49, of Idaho Falls, passed away at his home on March 12, 2016. Larry was born September 5, 1966, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1985. He married Debbie Morton on August 27, 1987, and Justin Tyrel was born October 11, 1989. They were later divorced. He graduated from Eastern Idaho Technical College in 1990 to become a diesel tech at H&K Contractors in Idaho Falls. He married Shauna Clayton in 1992 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple and they had Launa Marie, Dakota Clayton, Kordel Eugene, Braxton Glane, and Skye Duane. They were later divorced, but remained good friends. Larry worked at Walmart and also owned a business with Shauna called S&L Computers. Larry was brilliant when working with computers, electronics, and the automotive field. Larry had a very unique sense of humor and had a smile for everyone. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by everyone. Larry is survived by his two ex-wives, Debbie Julius and Shauna Waters; son, Justin Southwick; daughter, Launa (Jake) Dixon; son, Dakota Waters (currently serving an LDS mission in Belgium, Netherlands; son, Kordel Waters; son, Braxton Waters; and another son, Skye Waters; his two sets of parents; two brothers, Steve Waters, and Brett (Michelle) Waters; and two sisters, Mary Kay Waters, and Kim (Boyd) Bitt; and one niece and five nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents on both sides and an aunt on his mother’s side. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2016, at the LDS Stake Center located at 1155 First Street, with Bishop Jason Skillings officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Wood Funeral Home, P.O. Box 51434, Idaho Falls, ID 83405, to help with funeral expenses.
