Larry Leon Walters

Larry  Walters, 66, of Blackfoot, passed away May 8, 2021, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Larry was born March 8, 1955, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Leon Lewis Walters and Mary Jean Lamb Walters. He grew up and attended schools in Blackfoot  and graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1973.

On April 27, 1974, he married Carrie Louise Short in Blackfoot, Idaho. Larry and Carrie made their home in Blackfoot, Idaho, where Larry worked as a truck driver hauling potatoes. Larry and Carrie also lived in Shelley, Idaho, for 11 years where he was an assistant supervisor for the city. He also was a fireman in Shelley.

Larry was a member of the Lion’s Club. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, demo derby cars, race cars, dirt bikes and super cross. Larry loved spending time with his family and friends.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Carrie Walters of Blackfoot, ID; daughter, Nikki (Casey) Lish of Blackfoot, ID; son, L. Blaine Walters of Blackfoot, ID, daughter, Michelle Barbre of Blackfoot, ID, sister, Brenda (Ralph) Iverson of Blackfoot, ID, sister, Deadra (Alan) Tyson of Blackfoot, ID; mother, Mary Jean Walters of Blackfoot, ID; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Lewis Walters; grandparents, Sidney and Buelah Walters, Earl (Mary D.) Lamb.

No services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Westmark Credit Union towards  final expense donations in Carrie Walters name.
