A retired school teacher, Larry Susumu Takaki, passed away on April 27, 2018, at the age of 77, at his residence in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Larry was born on May 26, 1940, in Kilauea, Kauai, Hawaii. He was the son of James Mitsuo Takaki and Madeline Tsuyako Takaki. Larry was the second of four children, with three sisters, Grace, Janice and Lauren.
Larry served an LDS mission in the East Asia Region, where he taught the gospel of Jesus Christ to many of his Asian brothers and sisters. He also served honorably in the United States Army while stationed in South Korea.
Although Larry was never married, he was considered an "Uncle" to many and loved by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, but is now reunited with them.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2018, at the Idaho Falls LDS North Stake Center, 955 Memorial Drive. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 9-9:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
