Lawrence Anthony "Larry" Corsini, 76, of Ammon, passed away with his wife, Sharon Elsie Sparr Corsini, 74, on December 13, 2016, at their home. Larry was born May 27, 1940, in Plymouth, Massachusetts, to Adelio Anthony Corsini and Leontina Inez Benotti Corsini. He grew up and attended schools in Plymouth, graduating from Plymouth High School. He also attended the Wentworth Institute of Technology. Upon graduation, he took a job at Argon, a division of INL, in 1961. Sharon was born March 19, 1942, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Charles Wesley Sparr and Emma Ann Tracy Hogan Sparr. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls, graduating from Idaho Falls High School. She also attended Ricks College and graduated from Sacramento State University with her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. On June 22, 1962, Larry and Sharon were married in Idaho Falls. They were blessed with three children, Tina, Keri, and Larry. In May of 1966, they moved to Foresthill, California, where they lived for 43 years. Larry worked for the Placer County Water Agency as a Hydro-Electric Senior Power Operator for 40 years. Sharon began working as an aide at Foresthill Elementary. She touched many lives, helping these children. Sharon also served on the local school board. She truly had the ability to make a difference in the lives of others. In 1979, Sharon began working as a receptionist at the Foresthill Ranger District office. She quickly moved up to Resource Specialist and was respected throughout the industry for her vast knowledge of timber sales. Sharon transferred to the Caribou - Targhee National Forest in 2008. She retired in 2011, but has spent the last 5 years volunteering her expertise. Larry and Sharon worked together in many civic duties in California. Sharon served on the Foresthill Swimming Pool Board. In support of her, Larry learned much of the pool maintenance and they were involved for 20+ years. They worked together on fundraisers, including annual seafood dinners and assisting at check points with the 100-mile endurance run. Anything Sharon was involved in, Larry was there to support her, and anything their children were involved in, they were both there to support. Sharon was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she has offered a lifetime of service. Most recently she worked as a volunteer at the Idaho Falls LDS Temple, which she loved. They are survived by their children, Tina (Jan) Day, Keri (Matt) Eberhard, and Larry (Miriam) Corsini; 10 grandchildren who meant the world to them, James (Stacey), Nick, Robert (Brandi), Ashley (Landon), Thomas (Ashley), Emmali, Jasmin, Stefano, Larry, and Gabriella; and 5 great grandchildren; siblings, Ray Hogan, Ruth Hogan, Dorothy (Ray) Barker, Eva McGary, George Sparr, and Kay (Jerry) Bregg; son-in-law, Doug Rock; daughters-in-law, Dymna Concha and Araceli Ryan. They were preceded in death by their parents and siblings, Sylvia Corsini, Dennis Hogan, Bernice Belnap, Buster and Yvonne Sparr. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 16, 2016, at the Ammon LDS 32nd Ward, 4459 John Adams Parkway, with Bishop Curtis Godfrey officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery.
