Larry L. Reed, 78, of Idaho Falls, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2012, at his home from cancer. He was under the care of his family and Hospice Alliance.
Larry was born May 21, 1934, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Charles Smith Reed and Helen May Lausch Reed. He grew up in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School.
On August 2, 1957 he married Carol Marie Huffaker in Idaho Falls and their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. They raised six children together.
Larry was founder, owner, and operator of Reed’s Dairy.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Larry served in many callings, including Scout Master and counselor in a bishopric. Larry loved music, animals, camping, hiking, landscaping, and remodeling houses.
He leaves behind his

Daughter: Lisa (Michael) Jensen of Idaho Falls, ID;
Son: John (Kirsti) Reed of Pocatello, ID;
Daughter: Jeanna (Bryan) Dean of Idaho Fall, ID;
Son: Craig (Jennifer) Reed of Meridian, ID;
Siblings: Jean (Richard) Greenhalgh; LeRoy (Larene) Reed; and Shirley (Henry) Petersen, and 22 Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, David Reed.
Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at the Idaho Falls LDS Woodruff 3rd Ward, 2055 Coronado Street, with Bishop Bryant Hafen officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avene, and from 12:00 Noon to 12:45 prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
