Larry Jensen

Larry J Jensen, 75, formerly of Idaho Falls, passed away on April 26, 2012, at his home in Bloomington, California. He was born June 19, 1936, in Ontario, Oregon, to Kenneth and Effie Jennings Jensen. Larry grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls. His livelihood was truck driving. He later moved to Butte, Montana, and continued in trucking. On February 7, 1970, he married Shirley Nelson in Butte. He and his wife ran their Montana Welders Supply business together. Larry was an entrepreneur, owning and operating many small businesses, but his love was trucking. Larry and Shirley later moved to California and resided there with family for 23 years. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings, including First Counselor in the Bishopric. Survivors are his wife of 42 years: Shirley Jensen of Bloomington, CA; Son: John (Kathy) Jensen, West Valley, UT, Son: Rick Jensen, Adelanto, CA, Daughter: Dana (Jeff) Swain, Bloomington, CA, Son: Shane (Lydia) Jensen, Adelanto, CA; Brother: Everett (Betty) Jensen, Vancouver, WA, Sister: Roseellen (Warren) Moyes, Centerville, UT; 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Kenneth K. Jensen. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. at Wood East Side. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery.
