LARRY DEAN FARNES
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Larry Dean Farnes, 67, of Idaho Falls,
died October 26, 2003, at the Sawtelle Mountain Resort in Island Park.
He was born September 6, 1936, in Idaho Falls, Idaho,
to John Russell Farnes and Ida Rosylvia Jacobsen Farnes. . Larry grew
up on the dry farm in Swan Valley with his seven brothers and sisters.
He attended schools in the Milo area and excelled in Basketball and track
in high school. Also active in Boy Scouts, he and a brother attended a
Jamboree in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, where they attended a Yankee-Dodger
baseball game.
He married Donna Newbold in 1957, to which union five
children were born. They were later divorced. In 1970 Larry moved back
to Idaho Falls, where he worked for Hughes Roofing for many years and
later for Pocatello Roofing. He partially retired in 2002.
He married Judy Cowles and they adopted a son, Wesley.
They were later divorced. He married Denise Cook on October 10, 1981,
in Idaho Falls and together they enjoyed dancing and camping.
He loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren,
using his singing talent, and especially loved hunting and fishing with
his sons and friends. He never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone
he met. Larry will be truly missed.

15 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson and a sister
The family would like to thank the paramedics from Island
Park and all of his family friends, co-workers and fishing buddies that
were concerned and offered to help.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday,
October 30, 2003, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge Avenue.
The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 12 Noon until 1:45
p.m. at Wood Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Milo Cemetery under the direction
of Wood Funeral Home.
