Larry Case

Click Here To View Memorial Video Larry H. Case, 75, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 15, 2015, in Boise, Idaho. Larry was born June 16, 1939, in Richfield, Utah, to Elmer William Case and Marie Knight Case. He grew up and attended schools in Orem, Utah and Idaho Falls. While in high school, Larry started boxing. Following graduation, he continued to box for the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Golden Gloves and Amateur Athletic Union in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was very successful as a Golden Gloves Boxer. He served for the U.S. Navy and was enlisted in October of 1961. While serving Larry worked on specialized aviation electronics and was stationed in Puerto Rico. Larry was honorably discharged in 1966. In 1972, he married Ilona Young in Idaho Falls. Larry and Ilona had four children; Brady, Angela, Chris and Shawn. Larry and Ilona were later divorced. He made his home in Idaho Falls where Larry worked in auto sales at Chaffin Oldsmobile and Ron Sayer Nissan. Larry was an avid golfer. He also enjoyed bowling, playing pool, going to the movies and loved spending time with his family and friends. Larry was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Larry is survived by his son, Chris (SanDee) Case of Boise, ID; son, Brady (Tracy) Case of Firestone, CO; daughter, Angela Cook of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Shawn (Tiffany) Case of Boise, ID; brother, Mike (Frances "Bo") Case of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Doddie (Gary) Kerbs of Idaho Falls, ID; sister in-law, Nita Case of Iona, ID; sister in-law, Liz Case of Idaho Falls, ID; and 7 grandchildren; Kassie Case, Chelsey Case, Gibson Cook, Madalyn Cook, Presley Case, Marley Case and Trenton Pollard. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers; Robert Case and Blaine Case. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery.
