Laraine Pratt

Laraine Gay Pratt, 72, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 12, 2018, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.

Laraine was born December 9, 1945, in Idaho Falls, ID, to Ford Gardner and Abbie Cunnington Gardner. She grew up and attended schools in Iona and Idaho Falls and attended Bonneville High School and Idaho Falls High School.

On December 8, 1962, she married Jay William Pratt in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They had two children, Secia and Justin. Laraine and Jay made their home in Idaho Falls, where Laraine worked in Food Services for EITC.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed played the piano and taught piano lessons. She also enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Idaho Falls Ladies Golf Association and former president.

Laraine is survived by her loving husband, Jay William Pratt, daughter, Secia Taylor of Idaho Falls, ID, son, Justin (Cindy) Pratt of Idaho Falls, ID; and four grandchildren, Ashley, Chelsey, Abbie and Eli; and 1 great granddaughter, Sudhapei.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ford Gardner, mother, Abbie Gardner, brother, Gene Gardner, brother, Ford Duane Gardner, and sister, Fay Gardner Brown.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue in Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 am to 10:45 am at the funeral home.
