Lanny Scott Bingham, 63 of St. Anthony, Idaho, died Saturday, December 20, 2014, at his home.
Lanny was born July 11, 1951, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Dale LeMar Bingham and Eunice Doreen Gehrt Bingham. He was educated in Montana and graduated from Charles M. Russell High School.
Lanny worked for Dan Schroder, where he started with shop cleanup and then learned the trade of boot making and shoe repair from Dan. He also worked for Royal Shoe Repair in Idaho Falls. He later owned Bingham Shoe Repair in Rexburg with his brother Ricky. He worked as Industries Supervisor and taught boot making, shoe repair and upholstery for eight years to the inmates at the Montana State Prison. He retired July 29, 2013, and moved to St. Antony to be with family.
He enjoyed his Harley-Davidson motor cycle and riding with different groups of motor cycle enthusiasts. He also enjoyed Willy Nelson music and wild mushroom picking.
He is survived by his children, Tammy Mudd of Rock Springs, WY; Heather Bingham of Rock Springs WY; Jacky Clements of WY; and a son, Danny Bingham of Richfield, UT; two brothers, Ricky Bingham of Rigby, ID; Ray Garsky of TX, and his sister, Micaela Nelson of St. Anthony, ID; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Angelina Bingham.
