LaNEIGHA MEPPEN HEYREND IDAHO FALLS, ID - LaNeigha Meppen Heyrend, 1-1/2, of Idaho Falls, died December 15, 2004, at the Pittsburgh Children's Hospital. She was born June 21, 2003, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Travis George Heyrend and Jessica Marrie Meppen. She had to stay in the hospital until September 29, 2003, when she came home to Idaho Falls for the first time. On March 21, 2003, she returned to Primary Children's Hospital, then to Pittsburgh. She has been in Pittsburgh for 5 months in the Children's Hospital awaiting a small bowel and liver transplant. LaNeigha loved to dance to music, and loved the Toy Story movie so much, she would laugh. She loved her Arby's oven Mitt and The Chipmunk movies. She had a smile for everyone and was a Princess Drama Queen. She loved having people around her, her Dad and her Mom who never left her side. When she passed away, her mother was with her. Surviving are: Mother: Jessica Marrie Meppen Father: Travis George Heyrend Grandparents: Robert & Glenda Meppen, Idaho Falls Grandparents: DeLaine & Darla Heyrend, Idaho Falls Grandparents: Barbara Middleton, Oakdale, CA Great Grandmother: Beverly “Jean” & Bill Meppen, Idaho Falls, ID Great Grandmother: Leona Hall, Idaho Falls Great Grandmother: LaVern Sides, Idaho Falls Great, Great-Grandmother: Thelma Ashton, Idaho Falls She was preceded in death by her Great grandparents, Thelma and George Heyrend, a great grandfather, Dean Hall, and a great uncle, Steve Meppen. The death of her great grandfather, Don Sides, followed her death on December 18. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 22, 2004, at Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge, with Pastor Tony Maupin of Shiloh Foursquare Church officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the family to cover funeral expenses. Burial will be in Ammon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
