Lance Macfarlane

Lance Antonio MacFarlane, 39, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 5, 2018, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Lance was born November 25, 1978, in Woodland, California, to Lance MacFarlane and Alicia Negrete MacFarlane. He grew up and attended schools in the area and graduated from Dixon High School. On March 14, 2011, he married Shana Ray Birchman in Sacramento, California. To this union were born three children: Kourtney, Dalylah, and Jaxson. Lance and Shana moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Lance worked as a Construction Operator for Vince Hill Trucking & Construction Company. Lance was a Christian and loved attending Watersprings Church in Idaho Falls. He enjoyed hunting and was accomplished in getting bears, elk, bucks, and deer. He also enjoyed his work in construction and especially loved spending time with his family. Lance was an all around good, funny guy and will be sorely missed by his friends and family. As a child and young adult, he was an accomplished national ranking swimmer dominating in the butterfly and freestyle strokes. Lance was forever pranking his family and friends. Lance will always be "Lancito" to his family and to those who loved him. He will forever be a brother to Michelle, a son to Alicia and Big Lance, and best friend and husband to Shana. He will live on forever through his beautiful children. May he rest in peace. Lance is survived by wife, Shana MacFarlane of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Kourtney Lhana of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Dalylah Rhea of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Jaxson Oliver of Idaho Falls, Idaho; parents, Lance and Alicia MacFarlane of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Michelle Isela MacFarlane of West Sacramento, CA; and grandmother, Alicia Negrete of Dixon, CA. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018, at Watersprings Church (4250 South 25th East in Idaho Falls). A gathering will be held from 12:30 until 1:00 p.m. at the church prior to the services.
