Lance Cutler

Lance Brett Cutler, 42, formerly of Island Park, Idaho, passed away due to natural causes, March 22, 2018, at his residence in Pocatello, Idaho. Lance was born September 1, 1975, on Labor Day in Ogden, Utah, to Douglas Owen Cutler and Darla Dodd Cutler. He grew up and attended schools in North Ogden until 1989 when the family moved to Island Park, Idaho. He graduated from North Fremont High School in Ashton, Idaho. He had a contagious laugh and loved to joke around. He enjoyed debating and always had to be right. He loved all competitive sports, along with anything to do with water, with never a dull moment--lots of laughs. All those who knew him or of his personality and smile will never forget him. He also had a great love for his nieces and nephews. He helped his dad build a log home from un-milled timber. His was the brute strength behind the dream. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For 17+ years, after his motorcycle accident, Lance demonstrated true courage in facing each day in an extremely restricted state. He is no longer bound to a bed or chair. Our family wishes to express our thanks to all caregivers, agencies and facilities for their care and concern through this very long journey. Lance is survived by his parents, Doug and Darla Cutler of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Cody (Sharilyn) Cutler of Tremonton, UT; sister, Becky (Brent) Darrington of Dallas, OR; sister, Karie Lee (Ryan) Jones of Rexburg, ID; and his brother, Dan (Kimberly) Cutler of Idaho Falls, ID. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lowell and Marelda Cutler, Jacob G. and Grace H. Dodd; and a niece, Hazel Kimberly Cutler. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2018, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 Ammon Rd., with Bishop Jason Skillings officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services, both times at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
