DALE HUNT
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- L. Dale Hunt, 78, of Idaho Falls, died March 14, 2003.
He was born November 9, 1924, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Lester D. Hunt and Leda Davis Hunt. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduated from Ucon High School, then graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
He served as a Sergeant in the U. S. Army Air Force during World War II.
He married Betty Jean Haight June 30, 1949, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She preceded him in death February 24, 2000. He worked as an Accountant at the INEEL and retired from WINCO.
An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he served as an Explorer leader, Elders Quorum president, Bishop's Counselor, High Priest Group Leader, Executive Secretary in a Bishopric, stake missionary, stake clerk, in the stake extraction program for seven years, and as membership clerk. At the time of his death, he was assistant to the High Priest Group Leader. He was a member of the Idaho Falls Lions Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and gardening.

10 grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2003, at the Idaho Falls Stake Center, 1155 East 1st Street, with Bishop Dean Arnoldsen of the Idaho Falls LDS 21st Ward presiding. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 North Ridge) and for one hour before services Wednesday at the church.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
