L. B. HOUX
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- L. B. Houx, 78, of Idaho Falls, died October 31, 2002, at Life Care Center.
He was born October 12, 1924 in Dawson, Texas to Robert Mac Houx and Mary Eula Dill Houx. He served in the Navy during World War II as an RM 1st Class. He spent 19 months in the South Pacific.
He married Betty Lou Miller on January 16, 1946 in Long Beach, California. They moved to Lubbock, Texas, shortly after they were married. They returned to California in 1947 and moved to Idaho Falls in 1959.
He worked as an auto body repairman and brick mason in California. After moving to Idaho Falls he worked at the Naval Reactor Facility as a janitor, then as a security guard. In 1963 he returned to the masonry profession as a brick mason and retired in 1987. He was a member of the Eastern Idaho Early Iron.
He was a member of the Methodist Church. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, raising animals, restoring vintage automobiles, and spending time with his family.

Sister: Wynell Fallenfield, Santa Paula, CA
12 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 1 grandson, Mitchell Houx
Memorial Services will be from 4-7:00 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2002 at The Monarch, 810 East Sunnyside Road, Idaho Falls.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Aspen Hospice, 2240 East 25th Street, Idaho Falls,ID 83404.
