Kylee Sorenson, 16, of Shelley, passed away July 19, 2018, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from a sudden illness.
Kylee was born June 7, 2002, in Polson, Montana, to Mark Don Sorenson and Danele Leigh Wheeler Sorenson. She grew up and attended elementary schools in Idaho Falls and Shelley and would have been attending Shelley High School as a Junior in the fall. She was working at Country Club Minis at the time of her death.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a Laurel in the Young Women’s program. She had served in the Mia Maid Presidency. She loved to dance and enjoyed anything outdoors, hiking, fishing and hunting. She participated in and excelled in FFA and showed horses. She wanted to be a horse vet.
Kylee is survived by her loving parents, Mark and Danele Sorenson of Shelley, ID; sisters, Hallie, Kenzi and Presley Sorenson, all of Shelley, ID; grandmother, Diane Wheeler of Ammon, ID; and grandparents, Mike and Marleine Sorenson of Idaho Falls. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Norman Wheeler; and aunt, Penny Gentillon.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at the Shelley LDS Stake Center, 325 E. Locust, with Bishop Jeremy Siems of the Shelley 8th Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and Tuesday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
