Beloved father and grandfather, Kyle (Butch) Staples II, 64, of Idaho Falls, passed away on September 8, 2011, at his home after “fighting the good fight” against ALS (Lou =-Gehrigs disease).
He was born May 6, 1947, in Idaho Falls to Kyle Thueson Staples and Beth Mozel Anderson Staples. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Idaho Falls High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He continued his education by attending Ricks College and Idaho State University.
On March 21, 1970, he married Debra Williams in Idaho Falls and they were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple in 1977. He owned Welenco Fireplace Store and later was self employed as a heating contractor.
Kyle was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many positions in the church. He also served a mission as a Family History Consultant at the Idaho Falls Family History Center for 6 years prior to his death. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, four-wheeling and hanging out with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 12, 2011 at the Idaho Falls LDS Kearney 3rd Ward (1860 Kearney St.) with Bishop Donald Harris officiating. The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 6-8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon) and on Monday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery with military rites by the Bonneville County Veterans Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
