Kyle, the last surviving member of his family, reunited with his eternal family on December 2, 2018. Kyle was born October 11, 1926, in Provo, Utah to Ernest Brinkerhoff and Pearl Maria Larsen Brinkerhoff. He attended schools in Bicknell, Utah and graduated from Wayne County High School. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Northern California. On December 21, 1951, he married Iris Jones in the Manti Utah Temple. In the early 1950's, Kyle left Wayne County, Utah arriving in the Bitteroot with his father and brother, Wayne, running a ranching business. Kyle and his sons continued to ranch in the Bitteroot Valley until moving to Sheridan, Wyoming. He also served on the school board in Stevensville for two terms. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in numerous leadership positions. He broke ground for the first chapel in Stevensville as well as many other developments in the community. He and his wife, Iris, served a mission for the church to Nigeria, Africa. At the time of his passing, Kyle lived in Idaho Falls with his wife. Kyle is survived by his wife, Iris Brinkerhoff, of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Brinkerhoff, of Sheridan, WY; son, Neil (Cynthia) Brinkerhoff, of Sheridan, WY; daughter, Gaylene Fox of Del City, OK; son, Garth (MaeDee) Brinkerhoff of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Pearl (Scott) Fowler, of Sandy, UT; daughter, Myrna (Crisanto) Garcia, of Idaho Falls, ID; 24 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Roger Brinkerhoff; and three siblings, Wayne (Merle), Kenneth, and Priscilla Brinkerhoff. Funeral services will be held on 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at the LDS Church, 100 Middle Burnt Fork Road in Stevensville, MT. The family will meet with friends on Friday from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (963 S. Ammon Road) in Ammon, Idaho. Burial will be in the Victor cemetery in Montana following the service.
