KURT HUTCHENS FELT, ID -- Kurt Allan “Krut” Hutchens, 50, of Felt, Idaho, died July 15, 2007, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of a heart attack. He was born July 24, 1956, in Jerome, Idaho, to Vern Carl Hutchens and Dorothy Marie O'Toole Hutchens. He spent his early years in Jerome, then moved to Idaho Falls, where he attended Hillview Elementary, Bonneville Junior High School, and Bonneville High School. He also attended Ricks College. He served in the U. S. Army from 1977-1980 as a Specialist First Class in Air Defense Artillery. He also served in the National Guard. During his military service he was active in rodeo as a stock specialist. He married Glenda Gay Rawson August 9, 1986, at Christian Community Church in Driggs, Idaho. He was a truck driver and worked at Penford Products for 10 years. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and rodeo enthusiast. He was very quick witted, enjoyed thinking of himself as a redneck cowboy and goat-roper, was a doting father, and adored his grandson, Nicholas. Survivors include: Wife: Glenda Hutchens of Felt, ID Daughters: Misty Lee (fiancee, Eric Simmons) Hutchens of Idaho Falls, ID; and Ashley Rae Hutchens of Felt, ID Son: Carl Jesse Hutchens of Felt, ID Parents: Vern C. & Dorothy Hutchens of Ammon, ID Brother: Greg (Lynne) Hutchens of Elizabethtown, KY Sister: Susan (Brent) Steel of Idaho Falls, ID 1 Grandson. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2007, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home.
