Kristine Inskeep

Kristine Nelson Inskeep, 63, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 1, 2016, at her home. She was under the care of her loving family and Avalon Hospice.

Kristine was born February 3, 1953, in Afton, Wyoming, to Dr. Milton P. Nelson and Mary Kathryn Summers Nelson. She grew up and attended schools in Blackfoot, Idaho and graduated from Blackfoot High School. She also attended Idaho State University where she earned her Bachelors Degree.

On October 1, 1970, she married Steven Eugene Inskeep in Blackfoot, Idaho. On October 1, 1976, they were sealed in the Ogden LDS Temple. To this union were born four children, Jason, Jeremy, Ryan and Karianne. Kristine and Steve made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Kristine worked as a Security Awareness Trainer and the INL. For the last four years Kristine worked for Aflac Insurance.

Kristine was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in many callings that she loved, including The Boy Scouts of America. She was active in the community as a member of the Idaho Life Long Learners, Toast Masters and Security Awareness Special Interest Group.

Kristine is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Steven Inskeep; son, Jason C. (Brenda) Inskeep of Afton, WY; son, Jeremy E. (Marcie) Inskeep of Syracuse, UT; son, Ryan S. (Christina) Inskeep of Shelley, ID; daughter, Karianne (Jared) Parrish of Anchorage, AK; sister, JoAnn (Richard) Tominaga of Snake River, ID; brother, Scott (Vicki) Nelson of Wapello, ID; brother, David (Brenda) Nelson of Nampa, ID; brother, Eric (Karen) Nelson of Pocatello, ID; and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Kathleen Higgins.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2016, at the Carriage Gate LDS Ward, 5255 South 5th West, with Bishop Phil Sorensen officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue and Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior, at the church. Interment will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
