Kirk Robert Korenke, 43, passed away on December 24, 2017, at his home in Boise, due to health complications. Kirk was born April 23, 1974, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Robert Edward Korenke and Linda Louise Korenke. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Skyline High School in 1992. He also attended Idaho State University in Pocatello, earning his Master’s Degree in Social Work. Kirk, LCPC was a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and worked as a professional business counselor and owner of Healthy Place Counseling. He assisted many families and people of all ages in the SE Idaho area. He was a very patient and caring provider. He really excelled in working with young children. The outdoors were a great source of relaxation for Kirk from snowmobiling, to boating, shooting, motorcycling, and skydiving. He enjoyed playing the fiddle and loved singing and playing the guitar with family and friends. He was a Christian and an Eagle Scout. His friends all meant so much to him, he loved them like family and was always very generous. He also enjoyed bowling and cooking. Kirk is survived by his parents, Robert and Linda Korenke of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Jennifer Korenke-Stanger of Iona, ID; brother, Adam Korenke of Dallas, TX; grandmother, Beverly Harrington of Pocatello, ID; and his significant other, April Thomas of Boise, ID. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jacque Lowe, and grandparents, Ed and Catherine Korenke, and Patrick A. Tafoya. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery in Idaho Falls.

2:00 PM ,Saturday, January 6, 2018 Wood Funeral Home East Side 963 South Ammon Road Idaho Falls, ID 83406 Notes: The family will visit with friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fielding Cemetery.
