Kevin Mccowan

Kevin Leroy McCowan, 55, of Ammon, passed away December 7, 2023, at The Gables of Ammon. He was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice and his loving family.

Kevin was born July 22, 1968, in Caldwell, Idaho, to Vernon Jerome McCowan and Evelyn Marie Sparks McCowan. He grew up and attended schools in Iona and Bonneville High School. He worked as a butcher.

Kevin had many interests and hobbies. He especially loved gardening, camping, and canoeing. He enjoyed doing mechanic work and watching western movies.

Kevin is survived by his mother, Marie McCowan; son, Spencer (Cecylia) McCowan of Ammon, ID; daughter, Jessica McCowan of Idaho Falls; son, Isaac (Tenten) McCowan of Idaho Falls; daughter, Aleesha McCowan of Idaho Falls; brother, Elton (Pat) Andrews of Emmett, ID; brother, Roger McCowan of Tampa, FL; sister, Calina (Gary) Armstrong of WA; sister, Katherine McCowan of Emmett, ID; brother, Steven McCowan of Emmett, ID; and 7 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vern McCowan.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
