Kerry Ray Lunt

Kerry Ray Lunt Jr., 42, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 5, 2021, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Kerry was born September 29, 1979, in Evanston, Wyoming, to Kerry Ray Lunt Sr. and Becky Marie Malcolm.  He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and Utah, before graduating from High School in 1999.

Kerry found his true love after reconnecting with Nicole, who he had previously gone to grade school and Junior High with. They had a very memorable first date at the Utah Aquarium. On July 13, 2015, he married Nicole Lyn Gneiting in Idaho Falls, ID. Kerry and Nicole made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Kerry worked for Hammer Head Roofing, LLC.

Growing up as a child Kerry loved spending his time fishing & riding snowmobiles with his parents, Becky and Thomas Briggs. After Kerry graduated, he enjoyed spending time camping & hanging out with his friends. Shortly after graduation, Kerry became the father of his son, Braydon. Once Kerry and Nicole married; they became a blended family of six, however, Kerry loved all the children like they were his own. Kerry loved spending family time with their children floating the river, fishing, camping, swimming, water parks and enjoying each other's company. For all of you who knew Kerry, knew he had one of the biggest hearts and would do anything for anyone he could. Kerry had so many friends and family members that cared about him and he will truly be missed by all.

Kerry was very close with his two cousins, Kyle Bue and Michael “Sleep” Bue. He called them brothers. From Kyle: “Rest easy Kuz, you won the game! I love you and please save my spot.”

Kerry is survived by his loving wife, Nicole Lyn Lunt of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Braydon Winterbottom of Idaho Falls; son, Lexus Mojica of Idaho Falls; son, Marquise Blair of Idaho Falls; son, Daniel Gneiting Jr. of Idaho Falls; daughter, Amadaia Blair of Idaho Falls; daughter, Aryana Gneiting of Idaho Falls; mother, Becky Marie (Dennis Bue) Briggs of Grantsville, Utah; father, Kerry Ray Lunt Sr.; sister, Jordyn Lunt Dillon of Utah; brother Clark Lunt of Las Vegas, NV; grandparents, Terry Jensen, Clark Lunt, Doris Lunt; aunt, Terry Hansen; cousin, Dave Hansen; and his cousins, Kyle and Michael Bue.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Briggs, father-in-law, James Leo Chapple Sr, and grandfather, Ellery Wybrow,.

A graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 21, 2022, at  Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held immediately following the service. Location to be determined.
