Kerry Denise Bowman

Kerry Denise Bowman, age 69, of Idaho Falls, lost her battle against small cell lung cancer on March 14, 2024. She passed peacefully at home while under the care of her husband, David Bowman, her daughter, Kate Freeman, and with the assistance of OneSource Hospice. She no longer suffers, and for that we are grateful.

Kerry was born on October 23,1954, in North Hollywood, California, to Wilbur "Bill" Liddle and Lucretia "Pat" Hain Liddle. She grew up and attended schools in Los Angeles County, California. She loved to see bands perform live music, and she loved to dance. She dedicated much of her effort as a young adult to those activities.

Kerry married David and took on the Bowman surname on October 8,1983, in La Crescenta, California. While they still lived in California, they had two children, Marcus and Kate. The family moved to Idaho in April, 1991. Kerry and David had visited and been enamored by Idaho Falls early on in their relationship, and decided to set their roots and raise their kids there. They owned and operated a locksmith business together for many years. Kerry eventually began working in accounting for CAL Ranch, and remained with the company until her retirement in 2019.

She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who was always there when her family needed her.

Kerry became involved with the recovery community in the late seventies, and found lasting sobriety in 1980. She maintained her sobriety for 43 years and was an avid member of the local recovery groups. She enjoyed staying connected with all her friends. It was important to her to be of service to people who needed and wanted it, and she relished the relationships that grew from her seed of service.

Kerry is survived by her husband, David Bowman of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Marcus (Jeana) Bowman of Covington, WA; and daughter, Kate (Tyson) Freeman of Ammon, ID.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Denny Kidwell, and brother Steve Liddle.

As per Kerry's request, no funeral service will be held but a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
