Kenneth E Stosich, 88, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 10, 2016, at Hospice of Eastern Idaho Home of Ammon.

Ken was born February 28, 1928, in Iona, Idaho, to E. W. "Wally" Stosich and Edith Croft Stosich. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Idaho Falls High School in 1946. He earned a BS degree at Idaho State University, then attended Northwestern University Dental School, where he graduated with his DDS degree in 1954.

Ken married his sweetheart Teresa Lora Droghei in 1950. Their strong commitment and partnership is a shining example to their four children, many grandchildren, and all who knew them.

After dental school, Ken enlisted in the U. S. Air Force, serving as a dentist at Lowry Air Force Base in Colorado. He then moved his young family to Idaho Falls and started his dental practice, which he maintained until 1998. During his professional career Ken was president of the Idaho Dental Association and also served on the Idaho State Board of Dentistry. He enjoyed mentoring and learning from his colleagues.

Ken was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings, including scouting, and leading hikes and backpack trips for the young women.

His other interests and activities were many and were based on a strong desire to learn as much as he could. He loved to hike, backpack and cross-country ski. He enjoyed crafting things with his hands and all of his children have items made by Ken, including wood doll houses, fishing rods, laminated fishing nets and his famous elephant stool, made for his grandchildren to reach the bathroom sink. He liked to garden and completed the Master Gardener program with the extension service. He loved classical music.
