Kenneth Donald Roberts, Sr., 70, of Idaho Falls, passed away at his home on December 5, 2011, following a courageous battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was under the care of his family and Hearts for Hospice.
Ken was born July 11, 1941, in Chelsea, Massachusetts to Patrick Roberts, Sr. and Edith Isabell Flight Roberts. He attended St. Rose School while living in Chelsea. When he was twelve, he moved with his family to Lynn, Massachusetts. He attended the Franklin Institute and Coin Electrical, both in Boston, MA.
On November 1, 1958, he married his sweetheart, Jean Elizabeth Heckbert in Lynn, Massachusetts. They moved to San Diego, California and then Idaho Falls. He worked as an Electrician, Construction Coordinator, and Maintenance Supervisor at Eastman Kodak in California. He was also the owner of Tropirama Pets and Supplies in Idaho Falls.
Ken enjoyed BBQs, camping with his family, horses, tropical fish, and especially traveling. Ken loved to talk and had the “gift of gab”. His famous saying was, “Oh, Boy!”. His family called him Sir Gab-o-lot!

He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Bill Blowers; his son, Kenneth Donald Roberts, Jr.; his sisters, Barbara Cosmopolis and Arlene Roberts; and his brothers, Patrick Roberts, Thomas Roberts and Jimmy Roberts.

The family will meet with close friends and family on Friday, December 9, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at 2955 Geneva Drive in Ammon.
