Kenneth Priest

Kenneth J. Priest, 91, of Idaho Falls, passed away on December 13, 2012, at The Garden’s in Rigby Assisted Living. He was born January 16, 1921, in Taylor, Idaho to James M. Priest and Minnie Mae Priest. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Shelley High School. He served as a Technician 5 in the U.S. Army during World War II. Ken farmed in the Idaho Falls area. He also worked as a carpenter and was in the Carpenter’s Union. He married Rolla Leora Willems and from this union came one son and two daughters. Survivors are: Son: Francis Priest, Rigby, ID Daughter: Ruth Ann (Randy) Green, Rigby, ID Daughter: Ida Mae Hanson, Rigby, ID 7 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 sisters, 4 brothers, a grandson, and a son-in-law. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at the Taylor Cemetery with military rites performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team and the Idaho Honor Guard.
