Kenneth Lester Plamondon, 66, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 13, 2018, at his home. He was under the care of Brio Hospice.
Kenneth was born May 9, 1952, in Vancouver, Washington, to Earl and Dorothy Mangan. He grew up and attended schools in Battleground, Washington. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a decorated veteran, receiving a purple heart for being wounded in action during the Vietnam war. Ken served two tours from 1969-1972 and was honorably discharged.
In 1974, he was married to Joanne Edwards and they were later divorced. He married Connie Wallace Chase Golightly in Sparks, Nevada, in 1984. They were later divorced.
Though not religious, Kenneth believed in the afterlife. He loved the outdoors, camping and fishing. He enjoyed collecting, playing guitars and shooting guns. He was a "bonafide cup killer" and Bigfoot enthusiast.
Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Angie Covington Clover of SC; daughter, Sandi Noelle Ashley of TX; daughter, Mellisa Plamondon of CA; daughter, Vestalee JoAnne Plamondon of WA; son, Jason Plamondon of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Jessica (Hector) Ambriz of Colorado Springs, CO; son, Patrick Plamondon of Vancouver, WA; son, Matthew (Diana) Plamondon of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Brittany Plamondon of Rigby, ID; brother, Evan (Brenda) Mangan of Battleground, WA; sister, Elaine Sabbe of OR;
18 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Mangan, and mother, Dorothy Mangan.
Family services will be held at a later date.
