Kenneth Rice Hunter, 90, of Idaho Falls, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Ken was born November 22, 1921, in Schenectady, New York, to George Rice Hunter and Mary E. A. Sullivan Hunter. He grew up and attended schools there. He lived in Albany, New York for 39 years and called Idaho Falls his home for the past 43 years.
Ken served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was in Europe and the Pacific.
On September 12, 1947, he married Jane Ellen Wilsey in Albany, New York. Together they raised three children.
Ken worked as a Nuclear Technology Specialist for General Electric. He was also a driver for Avis. He enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles, his grandkids, and especially his great grandkids.

Sons: Kenneth Ronald (Sandy) Hunter of Ammon, ID;
Geoffrey B. Hunter of Tampa, FL;
Eric J. (Karen) Hunter of Harrisburg, PA;
Brother: George A. Hunter of New York and Florida;
6 Grandchildren, and 5 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Leonard Hunter; a sister, Mildred Hunter Bohen; and a daughter-in-law, Simone Hunter.
Graveside Services will be at held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at the Iona Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road.
