EVERETT, WA -- Beloved father, brother, and grandfather, Kenneth Boyd Furniss, 75, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 22, 2009, at his home in Everett, Washington.
He was born August 15, 1933, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Freeman Augustus Furniss and Afton Lucille Fikstad Furniss. He grew up in Pocatello and attended local schools.
He married Carol Jane Lundgren in 1954 and moved to Roseville, California. Together they had a son, Rickey Lynn; and two daughters, Kriste Ann and Becky. They were later divorced. He married Mona Lee in 1959. They were later divorced. He married Marilyn Hardy on March 16, 1969, in Reno, Nevada. Together they had son, Robert Hardy; daughter, Terrina Renae; and son, Kenneth Freeman. He worked in carpentry before starting his own floor covering businesses.
He was a member of the Gold Wing Touring Association. He enjoyed riding his Gold Wing across country. He was a kind and generous man and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
He is survived by his brother, Ronnie (Stephanie) of Antelope, CA, sister, Norma (DeWayne) of Snowflake, AZ, sons, Kenneth of Edmonds, WA, Robert Hardy (Brenda) of Edmonds, WA, Tony Martin of Sacramento, CA; daughters, Terrina (John) Guempel of Lynnwood, WA, and Kriste Davis of Blackfoot, ID; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Freeman, mother, Afton, brother, Blaine, son, Rickey, and daughter, Becky.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday February 2, 2009, at the Idaho Falls LDS Taylor Crossing Ward, 2040 Brentwood Drive. Please join family and friends to visit on Sunday, February 1, 2009, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, Idaho Falls.
Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery near Idaho Falls under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
