Kenneth Davis

Kenneth C Davis, 67, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 24, 2014, at his home. He was under the care of One Source Hospice. Kenneth was born August 27, 1946, in Driggs, Idaho, to Leo Davis and Gladys Christensen Davis. He grew up and attended schools in Driggs and graduated from Teton High School. After school, he joined the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam War. He retired after twenty-two years of service. On May 16, 1972, he married Mitsuyo Murakami in Tokyo, Japan. To this union was born a daughter, Kimberly. Kenneth and Mitsuyo made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, after his retirement where Kenneth worked in security for Eastern Idaho Technical College. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of forty-one years, Mitsuyo Davis of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Kimberly (Scott) Bishop of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Roy (Melodee) Davis of Driggs, ID; sister, Chris (John) Decker of Layton, UT; sister, Sherri Hansen of Driggs, ID. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Betty Jean Kysar. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at the Kearney LDS 2nd Ward,1860 Kearney Street, with Bishop Frank Plain officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.

Tuesday January 28, 2014 , 11 am at Idaho Falls LDS Kearney 2nd Ward

The family will visit with friends from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery.
