Ken Morgan

Kenneth Scott Morgan, 55, passed away on May 30, 2025, in his home, due to a pulmonary embolism.

Ken was born on Sunday, January 18, 1970, to Dennis LeRoy Morgan and Donna Cox Morgan in Arcadia, California. The doctor playfully thanked baby Ken for arriving early enough so he would have time to take his own family to church. Thus began Ken’s life filled with thoughtful service to anyone he saw in need.

From an early age, Ken was known for his kindness and unwavering dedication to helping those around him. In his early years, he enjoyed being with his family, being involved with his various church callings, and also being a part of the Boy Scouts of America scouting program where he earned the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout with Bronze Palm.

He graduated from Niwot High School in Longmont, Colorado, then served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Mission. Upon returning home, he attended Ricks College where he met the love of his life, Angela “Angie” Inglet. The two were sealed in the Denver, Colorado Temple on June 1, 1993, and built a beautiful life together.

After graduating from Ricks College, Ken continued his education at Idaho State University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences. A few years later, he went on to receive a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from Walla Walla University. Ken’s career was a reflection of his heart-dedicated to serving others. He worked for the State of Idaho before finding his calling at the local Behavioral Health Center, a role he loved and faithfully held for over 27 years.

Always ready to help, Ken often volunteered to cover extra shifts, never hesitating to support his team. In the evenings, he continued doing the work he cherished by offering private counseling through Tueller Counseling Service, where he found deep fulfillment in helping individuals one-on-one.

Ken was known for his gentle demeanor, quick wit, and a collection of truly terrible dad jokes. He had a gift for using humor to ease tension and lift spirits, and he approached everyone around him with patience, kindness, and genuine warmth.

Ken’s life was defined by his steadfast devotion to his Lord and Savior. He served faithfully in many church callings over the years--Sunday School, Young Men’s, the Bishopric, and everything in between--always ready to give his time and heart wherever he was needed. But more than anything, Ken’s greatest joy came from his love for his wife and family. He was endlessly proud of them, and nothing made him happier than being part of their lives and celebrating their accomplishments.

He is survived by his wife, Angela “Angie” Morgan; children, Katelyn James (Taylor) of Idaho Falls, ID and Michael Morgan (Emarie-fiancé) of Provo, UT; and grandchildren, Elizabeth “Lizzie,” Kaden, and Addison James. He is also survived by his parents, Dennis and Donna Morgan of Longmont, CO; and by his sisters and brother, Nanette Wallace (Arron) of Firestone, CO, Stephani Black of Phoenix, AZ, Christopher Morgan (Kimberly) of Aubrey, TX, Andrea Smith (Robert) of Longmont, CO, and Denise Winder (Nathan) of Grangeville, ID; as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Ken is preceded in death by his sister, Staci Morgan Skorick; brother-in-law, Brian Black; nephew, Alexander Skorick; and grandparents, Delton and Elda Morgan and Donald and Francis Cox.

Ken loved life and brought an energy, optimism, and a “can do” to everything he did. Ken was a wonderful husband, brother, son, and friend. His influence is seen in everything he did and everyone he touched. He loved life and will be greatly missed.
