Kelly Shawn Holland

Kelly Shawn Holland, 63, of Idaho Falls, passed away on May 4, 2024, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Kelly was born January 4, 1961, in Butte, Montana. He lived a life filled with adventure and skill. As a long haul truck driver and seasoned concrete layer, he traversed the country's highways and built foundations that would stand the test of time.

In his youth, Kelly showcased his athleticism on the basketball court, leaving a lasting impression with his remarkable talent. His artistic flair shone through his exquisite drawings, capturing the beauty of the world around him.

An avid outdoorsman, Kelly found solace in nature, whether he was hunting, camping, or simply enjoying the great outdoors. His proficiency with guns and his knack for fixing anything mechanical spoke to his resourcefulness and ingenuity.

From his days of horseback riding to his expertise in building and fencing, Kelly embodied the spirit of a true craftsman. He approached every challenge with determination and skill, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship and knowledge.

Kelly was characterized by his remarkable work ethic and unwavering honesty. He believed in the value of hard work and integrity, principles that he instilled in his children and lived by every day.

Above all, Kelly was a devoted father who cherished his children and grandchildren and took pride in imparting life's valuable lessons. His unforgettable one-liners and unwavering friendship endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Kelly will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him. Though he may be gone, his spirit will live on in the memories and hearts of those who loved him.

Kelly is survived by his son, Eric (Britney) Holland of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Melissa Holland of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, McKenzi (Paul) Longstreet of Las Vegas, NV; son, Ryley Holland of Iona, ID; sister, Tami (Brian) Harrison of IA; sister, Melody Joy Evans of Idaho Falls, ID; and 5 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Korey Phillip Holland; father, Charles "Bud" R. Holland; mother, Peggy Parks; sister, Afton Bare; and sister, Daynell Lamb.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. Services will be broadcast live at www.woodfuneralhome.com. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
