Keith Alan Utterbeck

Keith Alan Utterbeck, born on April 10, 1964, to Robert and Jacki Utterbeck in West Covina, California, passed away on June 20, 2024, after battling pulmonary fibrosis.

The family moved to Idaho Falls in 1971, where Keith attended school, graduating from Bonneville High School in 1982. He was a talented hockey player and enjoyed riding dirt bikes and four wheeling. He married Debra Hill in 1983, with whom he had two daughters, Caysie and Kortnee. They subsequently divorced. In 1994, he married Tara Purcell, with whom he raised his sons, Anthony and Nicholas.

Keith became a master carpenter working for Utterbeck Construction and various other companies. He was a very good framer and was quite mechanically inclined. He enjoyed working on cars and built a '36 Ford Hot Rod for his father. He loved Corvettes and he eventually acquired a late model Z06, fulfilling one of his fondest dreams. He was an avid motorcyclist and built several choppers. Though he feigned disinterest in pets, he loved animals and his son, Anthony's cat, Finn. He enjoyed time outdoors fishing and snowboarding with his boys. Keith was a loving and sentimental person with an intense zest for life.

He is survived by his children, Caysie (Dustin) Marshall, Kortnee Johnson, Anthony Utterbeck, Nicholas Utterbeck; and four grandchildren, Ryah, Jaylee, Emry, and Keller.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Scott; and his second wife, Tara.

A celebration of life will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at his daughter's residence, 2277 S. Foothill Road, Ammon, ID 83401.
