Keith Jan Schneider

Keith Jan Schneider, 70, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 28, 2025, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Keith was born January 21, 1955, in Milwaukee, WI, to Henry Edward Schneider and Annette Theresa Jorgensen Schneider. He grew up with two older brothers, Alan and Gary. He attended schools in Milwaukee and graduated from Boys Tech High School in 1972. He later attended and graduated from Marquette University School of Engineering in 1976, while in NROTC, Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps, with a 4 year scholarship. Before moving to his first assignment in Groton, CT, Keith married Debora Twarogowski in Milwaukee in June 1976. After 6 ½ years and 7 moves with the Navy, Keith left the Navy to work in the civilian world in the nuclear power field. This work gave him 11 more moves, one to Zurich, Switzerland for a year. His last move was to Idaho Falls, where he planned to retire.

Keith had two children, a son, Aaron, and a daughter, Kerry. His children meant the world to him and brought him great pride. He worked hard to keep his family secure, even when he had to work away from home, which happened 10 times during his career.

Wherever Keith worked, he was loved and respected. He was an honorable man, loyal, and loving. Keith will be missed by his wife, Debora, his children, Aaron and Kerry, the many people with whom he worked, and all who knew him. Keith is survived by his wife, Debby Schneider of Idaho Falls, ID; son Aaron; daughter Kerry; grandsons Lenox and Gavin; and brothers, Alan and Gary. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Edward and Annette Teresa (Nee Jorgensen) Schneider. Burial and Military Honors will be at 11 a.m. June 19, 2025 at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 21731 Spring St., Union Grove, WI. A memorial gathering will be held afterwards at 12 p.m. June 19, 2025, at Tin Can Roadhouse, 20715 Durand Ave, Union Grove, WI. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative in Keith’s name.
