KEITH E. PHILLIPS
UCON, ID -- Keith Edward Phillips, 81, of Ucon, died
June 25, 2004, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of natural causes.
He was born July 26, 1922, at Ucon, to William Edward
Phillips and Alta Vivian Perkins Phillips. He grew up and attended schools
in Downey, Idaho. He faithfully served in the U. S. Marine Corps during
World War II.
He married Elaine Summers in 1941 and they had five beautiful
daughters. They were later divorced. He married Julia Irene Wasberg September
2, 1978, in Elko, Nevada. He worked as a construction worker for Arrington
Construction, then owned and operated Phillips Construction before going
to work as a construction foreman for Peter Kewitt for many years.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved his fishing trips
to Alaska with his grandson, Scott Birkinbine. He enjoyed being with his
family, loved teasing his grandchildren, and treasured time spent with
his dog, Misty. He had a great sense of humor throughout his life and
will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Max Phillips, and
a daughter, Sue Birkinbine.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June
30, 2004, at the Ucon LDS 4th Ward, 2967 East 105 North, Ucon, with Bishop
Steve Winchester of the Ucon 4th Ward officiating. The family will visit
with friends Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N.
Ridge) and Wednesday for one hour prior to services at the church.
Burial will be in Ucon Cemetery under the direction of
Wood Funeral Home.
Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County
Veterans Team.
