Keith M. Ker, 95, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 29, 2017, at his home. He was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. Keith was born October 17, 1922, in Ririe, ID, to Max E. Ker and Evelyn Bowen Ker. He grew up and attended schools in Ucon and Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He also attended Ricks College and Notre Dame, receiving his Associates Degree. Keith served in the United States Navy in World War II. He was co-founder and owner, along with his father, of Max Ker and Son Lumber Company and Ker Wholesale Supply. In June of 1983, he married Jeanne McKinlay Ker in Las Vegas, Nevada. Keith and Jeanne made their home in Idaho Falls, where Keith worked as a Lumber Dealer. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and gardening. He was the Director of Mountain States Lumber Dealers Association and Vice President of the National Lumber Dealers Association. Keith was instrumental in the Mountain States Dealers Association Golf Tournament. He was a life member of BPOE 1087 Elks Lodge. Keith is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne Ker of Idaho Falls; son, K.D. (Ann) Ker of Idaho Falls; daughter, Lisa (Tory Whitehead) Ker of Idaho Falls; son, David (Riki) Ker of Idaho Falls; daughter, Pam Ker of Idaho Falls; son, Greg (Teresa) Ker of Idaho Falls; son, Shaun (Lara) Ker of Idaho Falls; step-daughter, Brenda Adkerson of Idaho Falls; step-son, Craig (Shauna) Jenkins of Idaho Falls; step-daughter, Vicky Skinner of Idaho Falls; twenty-six grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Max E. and Evelyn Ker, son, Steven Ker, first wife, Sara Woolf Ker, second wife, Nyda Buck Ker Shriver, third wife, Gwenn Terry Ker, and granddaughters, Susan Ker and Tara Brown. Private family services will be held at a later date. "Death is not a period, only a comma." The family wishes to thank Hospice of Eastern Idaho, Dr. Gorman, Dr. Taylor, and hospices nurses, Debbie & Laurie, for their loving care.
