Keith Daniel Christensen, 90, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 2, 2013, of kidney failure at Lincoln Court Retirement Community.
Keith was born February 23, 1923, in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Lawrence Ervin Christensen and Adessa LaPree Larson Christensen. He grew up and attended schools in St. Anthony and graduated from Madison High School. He served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
On July 22, 1946, he married Ruby Lucile Perry in Rexburg, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple February 17, 1962. They resided in Pocatello, Idaho; Reno, Nevada; and Sacramento, California, before making their home in Idaho Falls. He worked as a Postal Clerk for the US Postal Service.
He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings, including as a Seventies Missionary, Ward Executive Secretary, in the Sunday School Presidency, and as High Priest Group Leader. Keith enjoyed collecting stamps and coins. With a passion for helping to keep others safe, Keith and Ruby started Christensen Fire Extinguisher Company in 1959, which is still in business today.

Daughter: Regina L. (Steve) Finn, of Idaho Falls, ID;
Daughter: Kirma J. (Michael) Berg, of Idaho Falls, ID;
Son: K. Douglas (Linda) Christensen, of Idaho Falls, ID;
Sister: Adessa LaPree Taylor of Meridian, ID;
Sister-In-Law: Velma Metcalf of Mackay, ID;
10 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ruby, and a brother, Lawrence E Christensen, Jr.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 10, 2013, at the Idaho Falls LDS Kearney 2nd Ward, 1860 Kearney. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, and from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Rexburg Cemetery.
