Kaylene (Hennings) Threet

Kaylene Hennings Threet passed away on February 18, 2021, at her home in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Kaylene was born in Montpelier, Idaho, on June 21, 1959, to Norman Hennings and Bardee Stowe Firebaugh. Kaylene was one year old when she got a new dad, Edward Firebaugh. As she grew up, she lived mostly in Pocatello, Idaho, and went to most of her school there, graduating from Highland High School in 1978. That summer, she went to work in Island Park where she met her forever love, Gary Threet, and they were married that fall on October 21, 1978.

Kaylene and Gary made their home in Idaho Falls and have three beautiful children, Bryce (Kim) Threet, Sadie (Matt) Wellard, and Zack Threet. Their grandchildren are: Madison Threet, Gage Threet, Justice Wolfe, Hadden Wolfe, Kristi Wolfe, Graysen Wolfe, Chevelle Threet, Emmett Threet, Katelyn Carney,  Jayden Wellard, Ashley Allen, Chanse Wellard, and Kai Call; and great grandson, Thayer Threet.

Kaylene is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Gary Threet; parents, Bardee and Ed Firebaugh; brothers, Steve Firebaugh, Ken (Pam) Firebaugh; sister, Linda (Norb) Groh; mother-in-law, Wilma Threet; 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

She is preceded in death by her biological father, Norman (Gladys) Hennings; sister, Karla Taylor; brother, Danny Firebaugh; and father-in-law, Charles Threet.

The family would like to thank the staff of Brio Hospice, especially Angela and Cassie, for the excellent care they provided Kaylene.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
