Kaye Marene Coles, 81, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 22, 2025, at her home.
Kaye was born July 4, 1943, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Lester Yale Peterson and Glendora McGary Peterson. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and Nampa, Idaho, graduating from Nampa High School. She also attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho.
On April 19, 1963, she married Gary Gene Coles in the Idaho Falls Temple. Kaye and Gary made their home in Milo, Idaho, where they raised their family.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully as a ward and stake Relief Society President and many other callings, but her favorite calling was Nursery Leader. She enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her life revolved around those she loved, serving others, and the gospel of Jesus Christ. She enjoyed baking, reading, lunch dates with Gary at the dry farm, and being with her family as often as possible.
Kaye is survived by her children, Greg (Katrina) Coles of Idaho Falls, Kaylene (Jason) Sawyer of Columbia, MO, Kimarie (Jason) Howard of Rigby, ID, Nathan (Kristine) Coles of Lehi, UT, Jonathan (Megan) Coles of Ririe, ID, Kari (Adam) Johnson of Carey, ID, Barkley (Amber) Coles of Idaho Falls, Kammie (Trever) Turpin of Idaho Falls, Kayla (Erik) Parker of Douglas, WY, Tyson (Stefanie) Coles of Idaho Falls; brother, Mark Peterson of Idaho Falls; sister, Jodi (Brett) Webster of Kimberly, ID; brother, Craig (Marilyn) Peterson of La Verne, CA; 41 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gary; and brother, Allen.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the Milo Foothill Ward, 12127 N. 75th E. The family will visit with friends Friday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Milo Cemetery.
