KAY CLAWSON
IDAHO FALLS, ID-- Kay Maebelle Dean Clawson, 85, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 21, 2009, at Rosetta Assisted Living Center. She was under the care of Creekside Hospice.
She was born October 22, 1923, in Smithfield, North Carolina, to Milton Simon Dean and Mary Octavia Winborn Dean. She attended schools in North Carolina.
She married John Reese Clawson Sr. in May of 1956 in Miami, Florida. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City, Utah LDS Temple. J. Reese preceded her in death in January of 1994. She worked as a manager in women’s apparel, as CNA, and enjoyed being a housewife.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She belonged to Sterling Pointe Garden Club. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, boating, shopping, and especially spending time with her grandkids.

Son: Eric Milton O'Neal, Key Largo, FL
Son: John Reese (Melanie) Clawson Jr., Idaho Falls, ID
Daughter: Patricia Kay (Robert) Archibald, Boise, ID
Grandchildren: Jessica Caldwell and Kimberly Clawson
Great Grandchild: Kory James Caldwell
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Rosetta Assisted Living and Creekside Hospice for their tender care of Kay.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2009, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends Monday, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Park North in Miami Florida.

Tuesday, March 31, 2009 4:55 pm. Just heard of your loss. We are so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Am crying and smiling. She was my favorite aunt. I always thought of her as very exciting and interesting and beautiful. Those descriptions may give you a different opinion. We loved her and have missed her so much.
