Kathy Simpson

Margaret Kathryn "Kathy" Simpson, 73, of Idaho Falls, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018. Kathy was born on September 18, 1945, in Butte, Montana, to William Francis Drowns and Lodema Chatterton Drowns. Kathy is survived by a sister, Beverly Dutton, of Idaho Falls. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Francis Dale Drowns and Edward Willis Drowns, and one son, Frank George Simpson. Kathy enjoyed listening to music, especially Elvis Presley. She liked horses and eating out with her friends. Kathy participated in the Special Olympics and prized the medals she’d won. Kathy was fiercely protective of the people in her life, and always told them how much she loved them. Kathy lived her final years in the home of the Benson family, with her beloved sister, Beverly. She worked and learned at the Development Workshop and The Adventure Center and valued the friendships she’d made there. The Benson family would like to thank all of Kathy’s friends, staff, and caregivers for the love and support shown her over the years. Her absence truly leaves a hole in all of our hearts.
