Kathryn Steele

Kathryn Maureen Steele, 44, of Boise, formerly of Iona, passed away May 29, 2011, at her home. Kathryn was born March 6, 1967, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to James Brunt Steele and Maurine Hanks Steele. She grew up in Iona and attended Iona Elementary, Bonneville Jr. High, and graduated from Bonneville High School. She graduated from Career Beauty College in Rexburg. Kathryn lived in Idaho Falls prior to moving to Boise to pursue her career as a Licensed Cosmetologist. Kathryn enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, and spending time outdoors. Survivors include: Mother: Maurine Steele, Ammon, ID Brother: Dale (Sharon) Steele, Tempe, AZ Brother: Paul (Julie) Steele, Iona, ID Brother: Keith (Janette) Steele, West Haven, UT Brother: Steven Steele, Tempe, AZ Sister: ViAnn (Paul) Foster, Brunswick, GA Sister: Karen (Jesse) Clayson, Ridgecrest, CA She was preceded in death by her father. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 9:30 to 10:45 prior to services at Wood East Side. Private family burial will be in the Iona Cemetery.
