Kathryn Price

Kathryn Elvira Kelley Price, 95, formerly of Idaho Falls and Plano, Idaho, passed away March 25, 2013, at Abbington Manor Assisted Living Center in Lehi, Utah, of causes incident to age. She was under the care of Dignity Hospice. Kathryn was born August 27, 1917, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Sydney Pritchard Kelley and Hannah Elizabeth Steele Kelley. She grew up in Idaho Falls and attended Riverside Elementary School. She graduated from Polytechnic High School in San Francisco, California. On October 2, 1942, she married Rex Thomas Price in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Rex and Kathryn made their home in Idaho Falls, where they raised their eleven children, Sharon, Tom, Clark, Carolyn, Peggy, Doug, Paul, Steve, Dixie, Marji, and Jim. Kathryn was a wife, mother, and homemaker. Rex passed away October 18, 1990. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many and various capacities over the years as they lived in the Idaho Falls and attended the 4th Ward and in Plano, where they lived for nearly 10 years. Kathryn served a full-time mission with Rex to the Louisville, Kentucky Mission from 1984-1985. A wonderful mother and grandmother, Kathryn devoted herself to her family and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Kathryn is survived by her children, Daughter: Sharon (Paul) May of Heyburn, ID; Son: Tom (Barbara) Price of Ogden, UT; Son: Clark (Irene) Price of Thayne, WY; Daughter: Carolyn Price of Lehi, UT; Daughter: Peggy (Warren) Harrison of Boise, ID; Son: Doug (Barbara) Price of Santaquin, UT; Son: Paul (Chris) Price of El Dorado Hills, CA; Son: Steve (Merlyn) Price of Plano, ID; Daughter: Dixie (Rick) Skinner of Boise, ID; Daughter: Marjorie Price of Seattle, WA; Son: Jim (Kris) Price of Lehi, UT;, 48 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rex, a daughter, Christy Price, and a sister, Verna Perkins. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013, at the Rexburg LDS Plano Ward, 5973 North 5000 West, with Bishop Kyle Williams officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
