Kathryn Garrett

Kathryn Ann Garrett, 67, of Idaho Falls, passed away on March 20, 2016, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

She was born August 26, 1948, in Sacramento, California to Elmer "Red" Thacker and Ruby West Thacker.

On June 3, 1978, Kathryn married H. Monte Garrett in Grant, Idaho. They made their home in Montana where she was a mother and homemaker. She also worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Fifteen years ago they moved to Idaho Falls. She was a member of the Association of Vietnam Veterans of America (AVVA).

Kathryn was a member of Rigby Cowboy Church and Watersprings Church. She enjoyed painting, crafts, crocheting, flower gardening, and playing board games. She especially loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by: Daughter: Valerie Lynn Choate of Oregon Son: Eric Eugene Choate of California Brother: Rodney (Susan) Robinson of Wisconsin Sister: Pamela (Don) Shilliam of Washington 9 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon).
