Kathryn Jean Burggraf

Kathryn Jean Burggraf, 74, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 10, 2026, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Kathi was born August 19, 1951, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Martell Klingler and Iris Genevie Swendsen Klingler. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Skyline High School. She also attended Idaho State University where she earned a BS in dental hygiene.

On December 30, 1972, she married Nicholas “Nick” Allen Burggraf in Idaho Falls. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on April 14, 2014. Kathi and Nick made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Kathi worked as a dental hygienist for 35 years.

She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved fulfilling her callings. She enjoyed skiing, camping, boating, being team Mom for the Utah State Hockey Club, and having the final say in all matters. She enjoyed many wonderful friendships and especially loved being a mother and grandmother.

Kathi is survived by her husband, Nick Burggraf of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Mike (Kari) Burggraf of Mantua, UT; brother, Steven (Mary-deceased) Klingler of Idaho Falls, ID; sisters-in-law, Claudia Klingler and Janet Sonnenberg; brothers-in-law, Troy Deane and John (Linda) Burggraf; seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, David Nicholas Burggraf; parents; and brother, David Klingler.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at the Parkview Ward, 2051 Emerson Avenue, with Robert Thompson officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
