Kathryn Miles Tracy Aldridge, 97, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 29, 2018, at River Ridge Assisted Living Center.
Kathryn was born July 21, 1921, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Raymond Walker Miles and Ethel Martha Castleton Miles. She grew up and attended schools in Salt Lake City, Utah, Lyman, Wyoming, and Ucon, Idaho and graduated as valedictorian from Ucon High School. She also attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho, University of Utah in Salt Lake City, and Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She joined the Women's Air Corp during World War II and served as a Sergeant.
On June 8, 1948, she married Evan Ray Tracy in Idaho Falls, Idaho Temple. To this union were born five children. Kathryn and Evan made their home in Ucon, Idaho. Kathryn was a devoted mother and homemaker and also worked as a schoolteacher. Evan preceded her in death on July 5, 1968.
On June 26, 1982, she married Daniel T. Aldridge in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He preceded her in death on March 8, 2003.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and found great joy in serving others. Kathryn loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Everyone felt special and loved in her presence. She was famous for her home cooked meals, chocolate chip cookies, Jewish brownies, chocolate cake, and raspberry jam.
Kathryn is survived by her son, Keith Evan (Lynn) Tracy of Rexburg, ID; daughter, Mary Brenneman of Mansfield, OH; daughter, Lorraine (Mike) Hathaway of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Marjorie (Vernan) Hogge of Anaconda, MT; daughter-in-law, Valera (Mike) McGrath of Pleasantview, UT; 34 grandchildren and 82 great-grandchildren.
The Aldridge family includes LeGrand (Charlene) Aldridge of West Jordan, UT; Kathleen Aldridge (deceased); Dan, Jr. (Barbara) Aldridge of Roseville, CA; David Aldridge of Riverton, UT and Karen Aldridge of Montour ID; Dionne (Alan) Smith of South Jordan, UT; Shauna (Martin) Harker of West Jordan, UT; 24 grandchildren, 95 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and twin brothers, Ray and Russell Miles; first husband, Evan Ray Tracy; second husband, Daniel T. Aldridge; son, David Miles Tracy; son-in-law, Terry A. Brenneman; and granddaughter, Krista-Lyn Tracy.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 7, 2018, at the Woodville 1st Ward Chapel, (1555 N. 700 E. in Shelley) with Bishop Stan Searle officiating. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 6-8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10-10:45 a.m., both at the Woodville church. Burial will be in the Ucon Idaho Cemetery with military rites performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team and Idaho Honor Guard.

11:00 AM ,Friday, September 7, 2018 Woodville 1st Ward 1555 North 700 East Idaho Falls, ID 83402 Notes: The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 6-8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10-10:45 a.m., both at the Woodville church. Burial will be in the Ucon Idaho Cemetery with military rites performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
