Kathrine Foster Kesler, 70, of Idaho Falls, passed away Monday, December 7, 2020, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Kathy was born November 12, 1950, in Ogden, Utah, to Harry Foster and Maureen Clark Foster. She spent her early years in Fort Hall and Blackfoot, Idaho. Her mother died when she was 13 years old, after which she went to live with her Young Women's leader and her husband, Maggie and Dexter Gardner of Blackfoot, Idaho. She graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1969, followed by a year at Ricks College.
She married Brent Kesler on May 22, 1970, in the Idaho Falls Temple. Brent and Kathy adopted two children, Stacy and Zachary, before moving to Oregon in 1987.
She worked as a secretary at various schools while living in Oregon. In 2017, they returned to Idaho Falls to be closer to extended family.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Brent Kesler of Idaho Falls; daughter, Stacy Kesler of Idaho Falls; son, Zach Kesler of Portland, OR; and three grandchildren from Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her parents and foster parents.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2020, at Ammon Cemetery, with Bishop Nathan Adair of the Old Mill Ward, officiating.
