Kathy, our mother, wife, sister, aunt, mother-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandma, and best friend, passed away in the loving care of her family on June 14, 2017, at her home in Ammon, Idaho. Kathy was the sixth of seven children born on June 28, 1959, in Ogden, Utah, to Leon Berrett Jones and Margaret Cragun Jones. She was raised in Pleasant View, Utah, and graduated from Weber High School. She continued her education at Weber State University. On June 24, 1978, she married her sweetheart, Jeff D. Swaner, in the Ogden Utah LDS Temple for time and all eternity. During their 39-year marriage, they welcomed Brandon, Benjamin, and Jessica to their family. At the time of her passing, she had been blessed with five beautiful grandchildren. She felt that the greatest accomplishment in her life was the family that she and Jeff created. Kathy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings. Kathy was blessed with many exceptional talents that she used throughout her life in serving those around her. She touched many lives with hand sewn headbands and scarves that she donated to the local cancer center where she was undergoing her own treatment for ovarian cancer. Kathy had an adventurous spirit and desire to create memories with her family and friends. She took pride in her garden, enjoyed skiing, hiking, quilting, reading, and cross stitch. She was happiest surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Jeff Swaner of Ammon, ID; son, Brandon Jeff (Dayna) Swaner of Murrieta, CA; son, Benjamin C.
